What is Bet On Sofa?
Bet On Sofa is a project to link TV world with Internet betting
world, using the Google TV platform. It is specifically focus on live
sports betting.
Currently, watching television and sports betting have to be done
in different contexts. Bet On Sofa will show a sporting event on
TV along with betting odds from various aspects of the event and
different bookmakers. All this, in live.
It will be possible to watch a sport event and placing bets on
the number of goals in the first part, number of corners, penalties,
who will win the first set in a tennis match or who will enter the
pits before in F1.
Bet On Sofa can be extended to any television event where bets
can place: game shows, reality shows, election, ...
Wits View believes 40 million Google TV sets will be sold during
2011 and 200 million in 5 years. This is 65% of the market for
LCD televisions. So we expect to occupy many sofas.
